Philosophy
For many years I have dedicated myself to exploring the practices and methods used to manage life stresses; to see and observe the things that are hindering us from reaching our full potential and finding the ways to overcome these obstacles. You don’t have to be a master meditator to feel the benefits. There are many ways to come to a more peaceful place in your life, through various forms of therapy, etc*. I have found that meditation is a practice where even a few minutes a day spent separating yourself from the vortex of life and gaining the sight to observe daily life from the outside is extremely beneficial.

My Background
I grew up the son of two holocaust survivors in Israel, and felt first hand the ancestral suffering, trauma, and anxieties of that generation.
Like the rest of the country, at 18 I enlisted into the military service of Israel and fought in the Lebanon conflict of 1982 where I was injured in the battle of Beirut. After a long physical recovery, I came to the US to study. After years of work I was successful in building several businesses, achieving the so called “American Dream” that tends to take the form of material possessions. The stress of running multiple businesses began to wear on myself and those around me, and I realized that there was other, unexplored layers of stress and pain that I had been trying to cover with money and accolades. That was the moment I decided to explore methods of self discovery and personal growth through shamanic work, therapy and meditation.
As a result, I sold off multiple businesses and spent the majority of my time going back to school to study Hakomi, a form of mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy developed by Ron Kurtz in the 1970s. From there I studied Recreation of the Self (RCS), Shamanic healing classes, and finally a 2-year program through Berkeley at the Center for Greater Good to be a mindfulness and meditation teacher. Through these programs I found the grounding and level of calm, compassion, humility and understanding needed to change the way I viewed the world, and I am committed to helping others in their own search for greater enlightenment.
